Windrow Road change/industrial park entry likely to be funded
Haywood County Mayor Franklin Smith expects up to receive $350,000 in funding for a new industrial park entrance on Windrow road. The cash will come from TVA. “There will be a match depending upon what the project costs,” said Smith. “The city and county would have to come up with 30-percent of the budget.”
Smith has promoted an artist rendering of the four-lane entry that economic experts say will increase the eye-appeal of the tract that right now is farmland. The plan will also make significant changes to Windrow Road including a detour routing travellers along the new entry.
