Main Street Brownsville takes high honors at Director Conference

The Main Street Brownsville Haywood County was celebrated at Quarterly Tennessee Main Street Director Conference held on March 29th and 30th.

The Brownsville Main Street organization was nominated for best new branding initiative. The new logo and website was described by West Tennessee Downtown Consultant Laura Todd as the best “on target branding in the state.”

The branding redesign was led by 2022 Main Street Board President, Melinda Posey. Posey is an Associate of Professor Graphic Design at Christian Brothers University. The logo was redesigned with landmarks of downtown architecture that captures the charm of Main Street Brownsville and the iconic clock at Tamm Park located on the Square. The branding has been moved out to the newly developed website which showcases main street projects and the upcoming events for the organization. According to Todd, the cohesive look places Brownsville Mainstreet as one of the top up-and-coming programs in the state of Tennessee.

“I am very proud of our team and their effort this past year in making Brownsville Main Street a program to watch. We’ve got more things coming be sure stay tuned,” said Brittany Beaver, Main Street Brownsville Director.
