Letter writing campaign needed for hospital reopen
Interested in helping Braden Health reopen Haywood Park Hospital? The company says it needs “letters of support.”
Last week Haywood County Mayor David Livingston wrote Governor Bill Lee asking that he help fast-track the Certificate of Need required to start the process to reopen. This week Braden says it is “…working with the Government of Tennessee and our friends in the federal government to ensure a speedy regulatory process. The next step in our journey to reopen this hospital is to receive a certificate of need and hospital license.”
“The State of Tennessee needs to hear that the community needs and supports this hospital. Most importantly, the State needs to hear your stories of how hard it has been to cope in Haywood County without the presence of a hospital,” Braden’s CCO Kyle Kopec told the Brownsville Press. “They need to hear of your suffering, your struggle to cope, and how your families have been broken apart due to a lack of healthcare services.”
To write a letter, which will be included in Braden’s application, go to https://haywood.health and follow the instructions under the “Letters of Support” tab.”
Braden’s goal is to open an acute care hospital and emergency room in October 2021.
