Leadership Haywood County accepting applications
Leadership Haywood County is now accepting applications for its adult leadership development program. Leadership Haywood County gives business professionals an inside view to better understand the community, as well as the opportunities and challenges it faces. The eight-month program provides class members the chance to visit community landmarks, meet with area leaders and participate in sessions about topics impacting Haywood County, including education, healthcare and government. Leadership Haywood County is a great program for leadership new to Haywood County or for companies and organizations to use for management on the way to greater responsibility within their company.
The program will launch its application process on July 22, 2015 and applicants can pick up an application form at the Brownsville-Haywood County Chamber of Commerce located at 121 West Main, Brownsville or call the Chamber at 731-772-2193 to have an application emailed or faxed to you. Anyone that is interested in participating in Leadership Haywood County, should talk with their management concerning the application, if required.
The 2015/2016 class will be led by Leadership Haywood County Chair, Bob Hooper and the Leadership Haywood County Board. During the program, class members will meet monthly for sessions on various topics. Leaders in key areas, such as criminal justice, economic development, quality of life, education, healthcare and government will share an overview of the present state, challenges and future vision. This information provides the class with a broad understanding of the inter-workings of Haywood County and a big picture view.
