Boys and Girls Club to get new carpet

County taxpayers will provide up to $8,000 to supply new carpet to the Boys & Girls Club. The club is located in the former YMCA building at College Hill.

The old carpet was found to be harboring mold. The new spend will be in addition to the renovations that cost more than $150,000.

Contractors stripped the old carpet, sanded the floor and rid the facility of mold. They hope that a new roof installed a few weeks ago will help prevent the mold from returning.
